Do those sound like worthwhile states of being? Ones worth uncovering? I'm happy to offer two avenues for you, one in a podcast that recently hosted me (it was delightful!). Please grab a cup of tea and have a listen! Another is the dedicated theme for the month of September, "effortless effort," or Prayatna Shithilya, which is a foundational teaching in the Yoga Sutra by Patanjali. (Sutra 2:47) Any of these concepts may sound like an unsurmountable challenge, yet each is undeniably of benefit. It is my intention to offer you techniques and practices this coming month that will help pave your way, and make it enticing, so you will want to practice and witness your own experience of these ways of being your Self.
Important announcement! My class times are changing beginning Thursday, September 2. Moving forward, my Tuesday and Thursday classes will be 9:00-10:00am Pacific. I understand this time works better for many of you, so I hope to see you more often. A regular, sustained practice is what can greatly enhance the possibility of finding and sustaining "calmer, stronger, wiser" both on and off the mat. And, to make an effortless effort increasingly available and viable in all walks of life.
If you're curious about the enhanced benefits of working one-on-one in private yoga or Mindset Coaching sessions, these qualities are the starting points, but they become all the more potent in practices that are tailor made for you. I have a couple of openings in my schedule, so let me know if you'd like a complimentary phone chat to learn more.
In the meantime, here are my public and online classes:
My Sonoma schedule for September:
I am teaching two classes a week in Sonoma, both in the indoor Community Classroom. (Please bring your own props.)
1. Integrated Yoga, Tuesdays, 9:00-10:00am Pacific
Integrated Yoga weaves together asana, breath, chanting mantra during asana, visualization (bhavana), mudra, and meditation. I simply love how potent yoga can be when these elements unite in an alchemy of energy!
2. Yoga & Yoga Nidra, Thursdays, 9:00-10:00am Pacific
(Please bring blankets and any other props that will make your yoga nidra more comfortable.)
The classes will now be on a drop-in basis, no registration required. I'll have a sign-in sheet for your name and email, and ask for payment before class.
Payment: *Classes are $15, with payment by the following methods (in order of preference): Venmo: Barbra-Brady-1, phone 707-227-0044 PayPal: barbrabrady1393 Check, Zelle, Cash. *Please let me know if price is a prohibitive issue for you, I am happy to work with you.
