Alice Walker, Rod Stryker, Tantric Hatha Yoga & Synchronicity

In It's Not About the Asana, Truisms

Yesterday, I heard Alice Walker on City Arts and Lectures. Among her other salient, clear, gorgeous words were:

‎”The key to living life fully is to not fear being yourself.”

This morning, I read my teacher, Yogarupa Rod Stryker’s Dharma Pearl on ParaYoga’s Facebook page:

Preoccupied with the finite, mind is tainted by strange and borrowed ideas, all of them having to do with a very small I: “can’t,” “need,” “hope,” “want,” “will never,” “If only” and on and on. Only when the Infinite is seen does perception become beautifully original, allowing us to recognize the Dance, where everything can be seen as a celebration of love, an endless teaching on how to find and embody the One.

Both are Tantric world views. I can personally attest to “both” (the quotes a nod to non-dualism) ways of living. One, exactly that, trying to live. The “other” exactly that. Living.

And this appears the very next day….
